That high figure must have seemed like a stretch to the school, too. In the 2005 catalog that students received, a 2003 figure of 98 percent is covered by a stapled-in page that drops the placement rate down to 89 percent. Today, the school's materials claim an 81 percent placement rate. Graduates say the new figure might be accurate if the school is including every Starbucks barista in its count of positive outcomes. The complaints and allegations against CCA should sound familiar to its parent company, Career Education Corporation. Over the past few years, the company has been hit with a succession of student lawsuits, and federal investigations are underway. All take issue with admissions policies and question the truthfulness of admissions representatives. In 2005 people began asking questions about the company's business model, and investigating how it made such spectacular profits.
Canadiens complete incredible comeback
And the Montreal Canadiens are (nearly) 100 years old and have had some great teams," noted coach Guy Carbonneau. "You have to give credit to the players. "I think last year, we would have packed it in. But we've been like this since the start of the season. That's why we haven't had any long losing streaks. It's fun to come back. It's a big boost for our team, especially at this time of year." Alex Kovalev and Mark Streit scored in the third period to tie the game and force overtime before a delirious sellout crowd announced at 21,273 - many of whom stuck it out even when Montreal was down by five. Michael Ryder scored twice in the second period to get the comeback started. The Rangers had built their lead by the 5:03 mark of the second period as a pair of their veterans made history.
Lighten And Brighten For Spring
But in the spring, I'm yearning to lighten and brighten my decor, trading the dark and heavy mood that makes me feel snuggly in the winter for a simple, soft look for spring. So I tuck a storage box under my arm and go on a scavenger hunt throughout my home, snatching up the remnants of my winter seasonal decor, like the pinecones I've clustered in a hurricane and the tapestry shawl I use as a tablecloth on my dining room table. I also edit my displays, removing a few of my more formal decorative treasures, like silver platters and crystal vases, to make room for the fresh fare of the coming season. LIGHTEN YOUR LINENS Once your home is a clean slate, it's time to add the first touches of spring. Since I'm a big fan of fabulous fabrics, one of my favorite ways to welcome the coming season is by filling my home with lighter linens.
Reliving the moments
I'd love to be back there," he said, "but I felt I made the right decision for me personally." Without the supporting cast he had around him last season, when the Buckeyes advanced to the NCAA championship game and finished 35-4, Conley might not have been drafted as high next year or the year after. The 7-foot Oden figured to be the No. 1 pick regardless of when he left. He might have left just in time, though. His stock could have dropped had he stayed at Ohio State and missed this season because of the microfracture knee surgery that will keep him from playing in his first NBA season. Now, he has plenty of time on his hands. "I go to the weight room. I nod off," Oden said recently in the Daily News of New York. "I miss being around people my age.
One-on-one with UFC heavyweight Heath Herring
Heath Herring is a colorful personality in the world of mixed martial arts, known for his Dennis Rodman-esque hairstyles, entertaining fights and a New Years Eve kiss in 2005 from an unlikely person his opponent Yoshihiro Nakao. Though he grew up in Amarillo, Texas, Herring has traveled the world fighting in promotions such as Pride and K-1. Herring will return to his home state April 7 to fight Brad Imes in a heavyweight matchup at UFC 69 in Houston. I spent 20 minutes talking to Herring by phone on March 27. We discussed his UFC debut earlier this year -- a stunning loss to Jake O'Brien at UFC Fight Night 8 -- his upcoming match against Imes, and the news that the UFC owners had just purchased Pride. .
Can Obama break their prison bars?
The calculations are based on figures for 2003 (the latest available from the Council of Europe). With a prison population in England and Wales of 80,000, if we imprisoned at the same rate as France, the prison population would be 91,113. If custody were used at the same rate as in Scotland, there would be 88,142 in jail. Socialist Spain has the highest rate per 1,000 crimes and if her rate applied in England and Wales the prison population would be about 369,000." .
Sampson leaves IU supporters red in the face
About NCAA Tournament seeds and matchups. About all the reasons players and coaches and fans care so ridiculously much about a crazy game like college basketball. That's not what Indiana University basketball fans are thinking about this weekend. They're thinking about how a coach, an administration and even some players have embarrassed a school more than it's ever been embarrassed. They're thinking about how they took a considerable chance on Kelvin Sampson and Sampson has left them looking like fools. .

Marion staying positive
Right now, five," Marion said Monday. Five games, five losses for the Heat since Marion arrived in a trade from Phoenix. He went from a contender in the Western Conference to the last-place team in the Eastern Conference, and he's been sucked into the season-long malaise surrounding the Heat. .
Spin the Black Circle: Auto Club 500
I'd also grab Matt Kenseth in the Stock Car Challenge. Kenseth's value in that game went from $22.6 million to $22.1 million because he crashed out of the 500 in a wreck not of his own making and finished 36th. I'm wagering that'll be the last time you get the No. 17 at such a discount, so jumping on his bandwagon here locks you in at a discount on Kenseth, at least until the game's second segment. (That would also be an argument for using Johnson and Jeff Gordon, who'll also be strong this weekend, but I'm riding the Roush drivers hard.) Kenseth has won two of the past three Fontana Cup events, though he probably had the second-best car here in his win last spring, but Tony Stewart sped in the pits. It remains to be seen whether Roush's past excellence here will translate in the "Car of Tomorrow," but lacking any other data, that's where I'm placing my fantasy bets this weekend.
